What does UPF50+ mean?
UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) is a classification system that tells how well the fabric protects the skin from ultraviolet radiation. The higher the UPF value, the less UV rays reach the skin. A fabric that has been rated UPF50+, lets less than 2% of UV rays through. The UPF50+ rating is the highest achievable rating in the world and can be compared to wearing an SPF50 sunscreen.
